Deadline:  Monday June 11, 2018.

John Markie Memorial Bursary is for graduating students who will be attending University in the fall and plan to enter a bachelor of education program.  There is only one bursary available for the three high schools in Pictou County:  Pictou Academy, Northumberland Rural High School, and North Nova Education Centre. This bursary is in teh amount of $400.

Requirements:

• Reference form: completed by a recent teacher outlining teh applicant's academc strengths, extra-curricular involvement and leadership skills.
• Official school transcript from applicant
• Maximum 1 page letter- from the applicant highlighting why they are aspring to become a teacher and personal qualities and experiences they feel would make them an effective educator.
